The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) offers a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates from recognized post-secondary institutions in Atlantic Canada who wish to work and live in New Brunswick. This program assists New Brunswick employers in hiring qualified candidates for positions they are unable to fill locally.
We are currently accepting expressions of interest from New Brunswick employers. If you are an employer seeking designation and candidate endorsement, visit the INB Portal to create or log into your employer profile and submit an expression of interest.
Employers facing workforce shortages must first become “designated” by the province to have their positions “endorsed” under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). Designation allows employers to hire candidates through AIP, with the province responsible for approving employers.
Once designated, employers can apply to the province to endorse positions for foreign workers. After endorsement, the identified foreign workers can apply directly to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada for permanent residency under AIP. They may also receive a temporary work permit while awaiting permanent residency.
